Enhancing collaborative care to help people with chronic respiratory conditions live and breathe more freely.
People with chronic respiratory issues prescribed with a CPAP (continuous positive air pressure) ventilator are often on their own to interpret its usage, management, and data in order to improve their sleep quality and overall health.
I contracted for the altr collective to design a collaborative care experience linking patients’ CPAP data to their medical care teams, with the added benefit of continuous coaching, helping users get the most out of their device. The project consisted of a consumer-facing patient app (mobile and tablet) and a prototype for a medical caregiver application (tablet and desktop).
The Patient App
The patient app provides two usage tracks: one as a remote that controls their physical CPAP device, and the other as a data side where they track and manage their health goals, device usage, quality of sleep, and prescriptions through their medical care team's input.
